Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Spellbook, operated by Powered On Productions, collects, uses, and retains information when you use the service. By using Spellbook, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information necessary to operate a private, Discord-gated companion app:

• Discord account data— When you sign in, we receive your Discord user ID and username from Discord's OAuth service, as permitted by your authorization.
• Session data — We set session cookies to keep you signed in and to support admin impersonation features where enabled.
• Table and character data — Content you and your table create in Spellbook, including characters, spells, effects, configuration, and play-state data stored to support your sessions.
• Technical data — Standard server logs (such as IP address, request time, and error records) may be collected for security, debugging, and reliability.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Authenticate you and enforce the allowlist.
• Store and display your table's game data.
• Operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Respond to admin or support requests related to your account.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing

Data is shared only as needed to run Spellbook: with your table (according to in-app permissions), with infrastructure providers that host the application, and with Discord when you choose to sign in through Discord. We do not share personal information with advertisers.

4. Retention

We retain account and table data while your access remains active and as needed to operate the service. Spellbook administrators may remove or modify data. If you need account or data deletion, contact your Spellbook administrator or the operator; we will handle requests consistent with operational needs and applicable law.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No online service can guarantee absolute security; use Spellbook accordingly.

6. Your choices

You can stop using Spellbook at any time. You may revoke Discord authorization through your Discord account settings. Session cookies can be cleared by signing out or removing cookies in your browser.

7. Children

Spellbook is intended for private table use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Third-party services (Discord)

When you sign in with Discord, Discord's OAuth service provides your Discord user ID and username according to the permissions you authorize. We do not control how Discord collects, uses, or shares your information.

Discord's processing is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy. You may revoke Spellbook's access to your Discord account through your Discord account settings at any time.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
